A grocery confession
Hi. My name is Dan. And I have grocery phobia.
It started small. A forgotten item here, a wrong brand there.
Then came the checkout texts. The voice notes. The “can you also grab...” calls while I’m literally standing in the checkout line.
And the worst part? I had already asked near the dairy aisle if there was anything else.
I once bought the wrong eggs because she said, “Get the teal carton.”
I stood in front of the eggs thinking, “These are all blue.”
“How did it start?”
“I think it was the time I spent eleven minutes in the cereal aisle on a FaceTime call. Eleven minutes. For cereal.”
“I think it was the time I spent eleven minutes in the cereal aisle on a FaceTime call. Eleven minutes. For cereal.”
I started volunteering to stay home with the kids.
My therapist said I needed closure.
My wife said I needed a list.
Turns out, we were both right. Just not the kind of list I was thinking.
“And how are you doing today?”
“Better. I walk to checkout with a lot more confidence.”
“Better. I walk to checkout with a lot more confidence.”
With Cartiro, no calls. No voice notes. No cereal aisle FaceTimes.
Because “one more thing” ends here.
